Apple Oatmeal Bars

I served these the other night for my Knitting Group and it got rave reviews. It's so simple to make!
Preheat oven to 350.
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 cups peeled and chopped apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
Combine the first 5 ingredients and pat into an 8x8 inch pan. Layer on apples and sugar. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Bake 35 mins at 350.
