Habitat for Humanity ReStore

I recently learned about this and I just had to share it with all of you. Habitat for Humanity has what they call ReStores, where you can go and buy deeply discounted home improvement items.
Anything from kitchen cabinets, doors, windows and even primer. Each location's selection varies, of course, and like a thrift store changes routinely. If you are planning a remodel on your house check out one of these stores before heading to Home Depot or Lowe's. Not only are you saving a ton of money but you'll also be saving the item from going into a landfill and you're helping out a wonderful company.

I have shopped there lots in NC...there was always one customer of mine who I would try and visit once a week b/c the store was on the same street! Found lots of goodies for my house in NC.

We have them here in Austin too. We picked up an extra cabinet we were desperate for in our kitchen. We paid a little extra for it since we had been there multiple times in the days proceeding and this find landed in their shop that day. We also bought a double sink for our kitchen upgrade. Perfect condition for $30 bucks. Steve and I have become quite the home improvement duo, we installed the new tile countertops and the sink ouselves.
